Green soup recipe;

Ingredients:

Kallaloo

Chaya

4 x White onions

6 cloves of Garlic

Cohune oil

Virgin olive oil

1 x tsp Cayenne pepper

1 x tsp Turmeric

Cilantro and Basil

1 x tsp Rock salt, 1 x tsp black pepper

Red soup recipe;

Ingredients:

3lbs red tomatoes, 4 large carrots

Half a red cabbage

4 x red onions

6 cloves of Garlic

Cohune oil

Virgin olive oil

1 x tsp Cayenne pepper

1 x tsp Turmeric

Cilantro and Basil

1 x tsp Rock salt, 1 x tsp black pepper

Method:

Using a pressure-cooker,

Heat oils on lowest flame, add cayenne pepper and turmeric, swish around until colour darkens.

Add chopped garlic, keep stirring, add chopped onion.

Add remainder of ingredients, sprinkle cilantro and basil, salt and pepper in between layers of materials.

Pour in pre-boiled water from kettle up to the 2/3 mark on the pressure cooker.

Fit lid and cook at full steam for twenty minutes.

Leave to cool or place in sink full of cold water to cool quickly.

Puree with potato masher or handheld blender until all materials are completely mashed.

Store in fridge ready until needed, because it’s cooked already, it only requires minimal heating to make it edible.
